On May 11th, nineteen people gathered and discussed using small farm machinery and your body wisely.
The main objectives of the field day were to learn:
to recognize and diagnose when/ where on your farm small machinery could be used to solve a production problem
to learn how to identify, understand the uses of and basic operation of small farm machinery
to discern which small farm machinery would be appropriate to ameliorate the production problem
to learn basic maintenance of small farm machinery
to differentiate between safe and unsafe uses of your strength and body to help prevent injury and strain
to understand basic yoga principles of stretching to help recuperate from injury and strain
to become aware of mindful observation to avoid injury and strain
Wow! That was a bunch of information for one day!
We also had a give away of two ergonomically designed shovels courtesy of Green Heron Tools.
