Join Spence Farm Foundation and Bill Shores for a two part series learning what is needed to start a restaurant garden. Join Bill Shores, professional grower with over 17 years of experience working with chefs, for a seminar on small space production gardens. He will discuss: Introduction to small space food production, How the garden can be a revenue source, Moving towards a twelve month garden operation, Types of crops partial to small spaces and Garden resources.
In the second education session, on May 12, participants will have an detailed tour of two small space production gardens: Rick Bayless’ Production Garden by Bill Shores and Big Delicious Planet Production Garden by Katie Wiegman. During the tour there will be discussions on seed germination, green house production, raised bed production and compost production.
