Heartfelt Thanks! We wish we had enough room to list all of the names of everyone who volunteer for our programs, projects, and events. But, we hope our more than 100 volunteers will understand if we just simply say... Thank you, thank you, thank you! Volunteers help with everything from painting the schoolhouse, to assisting with programs, to putting out flyers and folding mailings. And, every job done is so important to making the Foundation reach its educational goals. We hope you have as much fun as we did. Thanks again to you all! |

Sponsor a Program!
Funding is always a challenge for a not-for-profit organization and with so many wonderful ideas in the works, SFF could use your partnership. If you find you don’t have much spare time to volunteer or any items you wish to donate, you could still be a valuable part of the educational programs and projects that are underway.
Here is a list of projects that need sponsorship. 1. Underwrite programs for school children at the farm in October. $6000 is needed to pay for trained presenters, printing of booklets and information, and hands-on project materials (for 5th grade, 2nd grade, and homeschool). 2. Scholarships for U of I Farm Beginnings students ($1500), teaching about sustainable agriculture for beginning farmers. 3. Underwrite educational programs for 2010 such as beekeeping, seed saving and organic gardening. This donation will help with the cost of outside experts and supplies, approximately $300 per program. 4. Sponsorship of a grant writer who can obtain funding for operating expenses, special projects, or special programs. (Fees vary.) 5. Provide funding for advertising of programs and educational materials, approximate cost per program is $100. If you would like to be a sponsor, contact one of our board members for more information. |
