The Spence Farm Foundation’s director, Carolynne Saffer, had the privilege of attending and speaking on a panel at the Illinois Stewardship Alliance’s Farm to Table Workshops in Peoria on October 19th and Chicago on November 5th. Making sustainably produced food available to consumers was the focus of the workshops. Carolynne spoke about our high school program, farmer training and chef camp which all work towards building sustainable agriculture and sustainable communities. Both chefs, chef students, farmers and the public attended both workshops.
