Long-time friend of Spence Farm Foundation, Chris Pandel – Executive Chef of restaurants Balena and The Bristol – named the foundation as his charity of choice at the 2013 Allegrini Wines “Cook Off For a Cause” fundraiser on September 10th.
Chris was assisted by his sous chef, Isaac Magana. Isaac was our “Crew Boss” at the Sept Chef Camp. These two are amazing people and we really appreciate their continued support. We wish we could insert sound here, because we would give them both a big round of applause!
Our executive director, Carolynne Saffer, was at the event and the competition was tough – but as Carolynne predicted – Chris won first place!! His prize was $3,000 to be donated to our foundation. Thank you Chris and Allegrini Wines!
